成纤维细胞在硬皮病纤维化过程中具有重要作用。体外培养的系统性硬皮病皮损成纤维细胞发生了基质合成和生长增殖的异常以及粘附力的改变。能够合成高产量胶原及其它基质的成纤维细胞亚群在硬皮病皮肤纤维化中可能起重要的作用。硬皮病皮损中表达细胞间粘着分子Ⅰ型和HLA-Ⅱ类抗原的成纤维细胞数目增加可能与局部炎症或免疫反应有关。
Fibroblasts play an important role in fibrosis of scleroderma. Systemic scleroderma skin fibroblasts cultured in vitro undergo abnormal changes of matrix synthesis and growth and proliferation as well as changes of adhesion. A subset of fibroblasts capable of synthesizing high yields of collagen and other matrices may play an important role in scleroderma skin fibrosis. The increase in the number of fibroblasts expressing intercellular adhesion molecule type I and HLA-II antigens in the scleroderma lesions may be related to local inflammation or immune response.
