建川博物馆中的老公馆家具,其年代主要为清代至民国时期,既有对中国木质家具历史的传承,又有对欧式家具风格的借鉴,形成了以海派家具为主流、各种风格家具异彩纷呈的局面。其中陈列的一套老家具最为精美,是建川博物馆从金牛宾馆收购来的。该套家具采用珍贵木料精雕细琢而成,原为四川军阀所有,后为毛泽东、周恩来、刘少奇、朱德、邓小平、江泽民等党和国家领导人以及老布什、西哈努克、胡志明等许多外国首脑到成都时使用,是百年中国巨变的见证文物。
