Stora Enso obtained a permit from the Swedish environmental protection department to launch a new supercalendered paper (SC paper machine) at its Kvarnsveden plant, which will produce 400,000 tSC-A and SC-A + papers annually. The plant is expected to be commissioned by the end of 2005 and the company may close down Kvarnsveden’s # 9 paper machine after it is put into production. # 9 machines currently produce 130,000 t of newsprint a year and SoloEnso is also installing the plant
