他生于艺术世家,却在誓为祖国做大贡献的“大跃进”时代中走进了水利专业的课堂。他因为学校的停办而辍学,却在怅惘的空白期追随父亲学画,从此回归了艺途。他在学画过程中,恰逢扬州玉器厂招工,于是开启了他长达50年的治玉人生。他在治玉的过程中恢复了失传近200年的山子雕,被誉为“当代山子雕第一人”。他的作品《石刻聚珍图》和《汉柏图》被认为代表了当代山子雕艺术的最高水平,是继清代《大禹治水图》以后不可多得的山子雕艺术珍品。
He was born in a family of artists, but went into a water conservancy class during the “Great Leap Forward” era, which made great contributions to the motherland. He dropped out of school because of the suspension of the school, but in the blank period of regret to follow his father learn painting, since then return to art. He learned in the painting process, coincides with the recruitment of Yangzhou jade plant, so he opened up as long as 50 years of governance jade life. In the process of healing jade, he recovered the mountain carving lost nearly 200 years and was praised as “the first man of modern mountain carving”. His works “Stone Carvings” and “Hundred Plains” are considered to represent the highest level of contemporary art of sarcophagus and the rare treasures of the mountain carving after the Dayu flood control in the Qing Dynasty.
