成仿吾(1897～1984)是中国共产党内从事教育工作时间最长的一位教育家。在他的革命生涯中,有50多年一直战斗在党领导的教育战线上。曾先后在陕北公学、华北联合大学、华北大学、中国人民大学、东北师范大学、山东大学和中央党校担任领导工作。成仿吾对待学生严肃而又慈祥,严格而又热情,因而博得了“妈妈校长”的美称。那是在抗日战争爆发之后,随着全民抗战局面的形成,大批爱国知识青年从全国各地奔赴延安,其中有许多青年进入刚刚成立的陕北公学接受抗战教育。
Cheng Fangwu (1897 ~ 1984) was the longest-time educator in the Communist Party of China engaged in education. In his revolutionary career, he has fought for more than 50 years on the educational front led by the party. Has worked in Northern Shaanxi University, North China Union University, North China University, Renmin University of China, Northeast Normal University, Shandong University and the Central Party School as a leading work. Cheng Fangwu treat students serious and kind, strict and enthusiastic, which won the “mother” reputation. That was after the outbreak of the Anti-Japanese War. With the formation of a nationwide war of resistance against Japan, a large number of patriotic knowledge youths went to Yan’an from all over the country. Many of these youths entered the just-established North Shaanxi Public School to accept the war-resistance education.
