Chengde Prefecture is located in the northern part of the Mount Yan. It was the Zhongjing area in Liao Era historically and the only way from Yanjing to Shangjing. The Xi Nationality was the main nation in this area. According to historical documents,there were 32 posts from Xiongzhou to Shangjing in the borders between the Song Dynasty and Liao Era. Of which, there were 11 posts within Chengde boundaries. The article makes some investigation and discussion about the traces relevant to the Xi Nationality along this post road
