球墨铸铁在东北的试制工作已基本完成,东北各地即将大力推广这一先进生产方法。抚顺矿务局和东北科学研究所等单位试制出的球墨铸铁,目前还存在有轻微缩孔、砂眼、气泡等缺点,但究竟比普通铸铁具有更优越的性能。它的拉力平均每平方耗是五十到六十公斤,最高可以达到八十到九十公斤。它的延伸率平均可以达到5—6％,大大超过了普通铸铁和其他高级铸铁的延伸率。阜新矿务局总机厂用球
