消息来源亦称材料来源、事实来源。同域外同行比较,中国新闻界不大善于采写消息来源。笔者认为应十分重视消息来源的采写。因为在新闻作品中能否写好消息来源直接关系到该新闻作品的质量。消息来源的作用具体说来有以下几条:一是可以增强可信性。真实是新闻的生命。让公众相信新闻事实的真实性是记者的愿望。记者在新闻作品中,如果能如实交待新闻事实的事源,那么无疑就增强了可信程度。而且可以说,消息来源本身就是新闻事实。事实胜于雄辩。
