本文推荐一种利用地下水进行铀勘探的实验方法,它以分析铀含量和三种放射α的镭同位素(~(226)Ra、~(221)Ra及~(220)Ra)含量为基础。该方法是根据200多个水样分析结果发展起来的,该批水样采自已知铀矿床的附近和澳大利亚不同气候区(由干旱到热带区)的镭异常。这个方法利用四种因素的相对值来评价样品,把样品分成好的,可能好的或差的。文中介绍了在澳大利亚南部弗罗姆湖湾利用该法进行勘探的实例,用来说明该法区分假异常样品的价值:在铀矿化附近探测时,当钻孔不交切矿化时,采自这种钻孔中的水样属于铀含量高的假异常样品。
This paper presents an experimental method for groundwater exploration of uranium based on the analysis of the uranium content and the radium isotopes of ~ (226) Ra, ~ (221) Ra and ~ (220) Ra of the three radioactive alphas. The method was developed on the basis of more than 200 water samples collected from radium anomalies around known uranium deposits and from different climatic zones in Australia, from drought to the tropics. This method uses the relative values of the four factors to evaluate the sample and classify the sample as good, possibly good or bad. This paper presents an example of using this method for exploration in Frome Bay, southern Australia, to illustrate the value of this method for distinguishing false anomalies: when probing near uranium mineralization, when boreholes are not intersected with mineralization, Water samples from such boreholes belong to the fake anomalous samples with high uranium content.
