徽梅历史悠久。据记载唐时就有人植梅以观赏,明清时期不但梅的品种繁多,而且其游龙梅桩盆景已在盆坛上独树一帜,与徽墨、歙砚齐名。游龙梅桩属规则式造型,其奇古苍劲之躯和秀美端庄之态给人一种美的享受,更启迪人们对龙的遐思。许多人对徽梅龙桩盆景缺乏了解,往往误称为游蛇式、蚯蚓式等等。所以笔者特以龙桩的造型方法来谈谈龙桩的特点。梅花游龙桩的造型可分以下几个步骤:
