Under laboratory sand culture conditions, Na +, K +, Ca2 + and Cl- contents in different organs of sorghum were studied under NaCl stress. Under moderate and moderate stress, the content of Na + in salt tolerant Unicorn and salt-sensitive sorghum roots was much higher than the average value of Na + in different organs. In the aerial part, leaf sheath Na + content was significantly higher than the leaves. For Unicorn tiger, there was no significant difference in Na + content between mature and growing leaves, but Na + content in mature leaves was slightly higher than that in growing leaves. For sugar sorghum, the content of Na + in mature leaves was higher than that in growing leaves, while the content of Na + in leaves was higher than that in mature leaves. After severe NaCl stress, the difference of Na + content between root and shoot of sorghum disappeared, and the above-ground part even exceeded the root. Under NaCl stress, the K + content in root decreased the most obviously, followed by leaf sheath, and the least decreased leaf was leaf. The content of Ca2 + is as follows: the leaf of the growing leaves descends the most obviously with the least root. NaCl stress increased the content of Cl- in different organs of sorghum. The increase rate of different organs was different: the aerial part was larger than the root, the leaf sheath was larger than the leaf, the mature leaf was larger than the growth leaf. The relationship between changes of Na +, K +, Ca2 + and Cl- contents in different organs of sorghum under NaCl stress and salt tolerance of sorghum
