新疆生产建设兵团,共和国当之无愧的骄子。这是一个党、政、军、企高度合一的特殊组织,也是一个农、工、贸、商融为一体的经济实体,肩负着屯垦戍边重大历史使命,在开发新疆、建设新疆、保卫新疆的伟大历程中,凝练出“热爱祖国、无私奉献、艰苦创业、开拓进取”的兵团精神,发挥了建设大军、中流砥柱、铜墙铁壁“三大作用”。2010年5月召开的中央新疆工作座谈会,提出实现跨越式发展和长治久安两大历史任务,兵团又一次迎来历史性机遇,加快城镇化、新型工业化、农业现代化“三化”建设成为当务之急。随着大量资金、项目源源不断地涌入,处于转型期的兵团面临着更大的考验和挑战。
