China’s early film from the start to maturity, private film companies can not contribute. However, the establishment of the People’s Republic of China and the transformation of the socialist transformation, traditionally dominated by the private film and movie industry, can not evade the embarrassing situation that is regarded as historical relics. From the initial fighting beast, to the ephemeral short-term recovery, then rapid decline after the political storm. Whether consciously participating or being caught in the torrent of change, private filmmakers have experienced tremendous pain and confusion. This article takes the two most distinctive and completely different private film companies: Wenhua and Kunlun as representatives, and briefly describes the period of dusty but still saddening.
