The authors measured alpha-glycosidase activity in seminal plasma, motile sperm and sperm motility. The alpha-glycosidase activity was found to be positively correlated with the percentage of motile sperm and good motile forward sperm. This shows that the semen in the glycosidase can be used as a marker of epididymal function, especially the development of sperm motility.
