1970年11月9日,法兰西第五共和国总统戴高乐因心脏病发作猝然去世。消息传来,举国震惊,举世痛悼。国际社会为失去这位世界级的伟人而悲痛,法国为失去民族之魂而悲怆。戴高乐在第二次世界大战中法国沦陷的危亡时刻,不畏强暴,振臂一呼,为国民景仰,为世所称道。他是法国民族复兴的引路人,是法军机械化作战理论的集大成者。
On November 9, 1970, Charles de Gaulle, President of the Fifth Republic of France, died suddenly of a heart attack. The news came as the whole country was shocked and mourned all over the world. The international community laments the loss of this world-class great man and France is grieved over the loss of the soul of the nation. De Gaulle, during the perilous moment of France’s fall in World War II, defied rape and gave expression to the glory of its people and to the world. He is a guide for the French national rejuvenation and a master of the French mechanized warfare theory.
