2014年11月,巩义市文物考古研究所受河南省文物考古研究院委托,对位于龙尾村的两座晋墓进行了考古发掘,其中M164形制保存较为完整,平面为甲字形,由墓道、甬道、墓室三部分组成。主要出土了陶罐、陶奁、陶盆及铜镜、铜带钩等,为研究西晋时期巩义地区的墓葬制度提供了重要资料。
