广西商界在清末资产阶级民主革命党人的影响下,对革命有一定程度的理解甚至是支持。他们在辛亥革命前的政治舞台上相当活跃,致力于新式教育文化事业、创办近代企业、倡导立宪及地方自治,既为自己谋求政治、经济上的权益,又在客观上为辛亥革命发动准备了一定的条件。辛亥革命后,广西商界借助传统的力量和社会公益事业实现其近代转型。
Under the influence of the bourgeois Democratic Revolutionaries in the late Qing Dynasty, the Guangxi business community had some understanding and even support for the revolution. They were quite active in the political arena before the Revolution of 1911. They devoted themselves to the new education and cultural undertakings, founded modern enterprises, advocated constitutionalism and local autonomy, both for themselves seeking political and economic rights and interests, and objectively prepared for the 1911 Revolution Certain conditions. After the Revolution of 1911, the Guangxi business community realized its modern transformation with the aid of traditional forces and social welfare undertakings.
