Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) is one of the most common and important pathogens causing acute lower respiratory tract infection in children around the world. RSV-mediated membrane fusion does not require the participation of adsorbed proteins, and the fusion protein alone performs the membrane fusion process, which is significantly different from other paramyxoviruses that require the participation of fusion proteins and adsorbed proteins in other major paramyxovirus-mediated membrane fusion . This review summarizes the latest high-level papers on RSV membrane fusion and compares the currently popular models for explaining the theory of RSF membrane fusion. At the same time, we discuss the hot topics and controversies in current research on membrane fusion based on our own research experience , With a view to our country’s research in this area for reference and reference.
