现代根雕艺术的发展,已使传统的、模式化的创作技法和理念受到冲击和颠覆。并非是传统不足取和基因不良,而是现代人的生存理念、全方位、高密度的信息量巳使“传统”难承其重。于是每位现代根雕艺术家都在思考着这样一个问题:如何使传统的艺术形式,承载和表现我们现代人的审美情趣和生存理念?如何以创新的形式和技法表现现代人的情感世界?
The development of modern root carving art has impacted and subverted the traditional and modeled creative techniques and concepts. It is not the traditional deficiencies and genetic defects, but the concept of modern living. The omnidirectional and high-density information has made “traditional” difficult to bear. So every contemporary artist of root carving is pondering the question of how to make the traditional art forms carry and express the aesthetic taste and survival philosophy of our modern people and how to express the modern world of emotions in innovative forms and techniques?
