A fiber spectrometer for direct detection of biological fluids was introduced. The computer’s parallel port outputs pulses to control the stepper motor to drive the dispersive prism to rotate, and the photomultiplier tube receives the spectral signal. The signal is used by the computer to collect real-time data and displays the spectral characteristics of the biological fluid to be measured on the screen in real time.
