1965年4月10—19日,中国昆虫学会在南宁召开“生物测定在医学昆虫研究工作中的应用”学术会议。出席代表来自15个省(区)、市共35人。会议收到蚊、蝇学术论文和工作总结共116篇。 大会开始由广西僮族自治区科委刘春安副主任报告有关自治区除四害工作情况,并号召大家好好学习毛主席著作,理论联系实际,科学工作者一定要到现场搞样板,以便全面推动工作。 会议由北京、上海、广西的代表做了关于生物统计及生物测定在研究和防制蚊、蝇工作的应用5个学术报告,水东、佛山、邯郸等5个地区的代表介绍了大面积消灭蚊、蝇工作的宝贵经验。特约代表广东省电白县水东镇人民公社党委副书记吴瑞兰同志,生动地向大会介绍了水东人民公社响应毛主席的号召,用革命干劲,发动群众,彻底改变了旧社会贫困落后不卫生的城镇面貌,焕然一新的成为全国除四害、耕卫生的一面红旗。这个城镇在解放前有“臭三关”之称,群众的生产、生活和安全都受潮水和疾病的威胁。1958年大跃
