电视连续剧《周璇》幼小的周璇被送到上海周家抚养,取名小红。养父周序仁因吸毒而失去工部局翻译肥缺。不满十岁的小红,起早摸黑,背篓走街串巷,捡破烂。经章锦文介绍进了明月歌舞剧社,演出备受称赞,因唱《民族之光》与敌人周旋在沙场上,因而改名周璇。在明月被迫解散时,周璇又得知自己身世,痛心欲绝。1934年,仅15岁的周璇便被选为上海第二歌星,人们盛赞她歌喉如金笛呜响,沁入人心,于是“金嗓子”美誉传遍四方。严华看罢她的日记,决定向周求婚。1937年周璇主演的《马路天使》轰动了全上海,《天涯歌女》、《四季歌》街头巷尾传唱,周璇一举成名。“77芦沟桥”事变促使全国抗日救亡爱国
