From the recent developments in the heartless induction furnace hydraulic push-out liners, it seems that most of the manual operations seem to have been eliminated and the time required to remove the liners has been drastically reduced. At present, there are at least two kinds of devices for mechanically removing the refractory lining of the induction furnace. One of them is: After the top of the crucible is removed, tilt the electric furnace to a horizontal position and hold the hydraulic ram assembly against the bottom of the furnace. When the hydraulic ram moves forward, the bottom structure of the electric furnace distributes the pressure across the cross section of the refractory furnace substrate. In some cases, the lining slides out of the body of the electric furnace by means of mounting in a refractory furnace
