The world’s tallest steel structure is the 109-story Sears Tower in the United States. The United States plans to build a 150-story skyscraper in the 1980s. Most of the tall buildings in the United States use steel structures, but there are also disputes over steel and concrete. However, most people advocate the use of steel because it has a short construction period (the construction period does not include the preparatory work time before the start of construction). Generally, steel skeletons are processed at the factory and installed on the site. Each floor can be used for 2 to 3 days. Although the steel structure is slightly more expensive, it can be used as soon as possible and it is economically well-understood. The highest number of foreign reinforced concrete high-rise buildings has reached 76 floors, generally about 50 floors, and most of them are built on strong ground.
