Human motion can be detected using a motion sensor evaluation. This article reviews the development of a variety of motion sensors including mechanical pedometers and electronic accelerometers. The author believes that the recent acceleration sensor, the accurate evaluation of the normal human movement will have good application prospects, but the reliability of such instruments are subject to some secondary indicators.
