This article focuses on explaining the unusual RE patterns found in the Chang-Chang metamorphic volcanics associated with some Archean volcanogenic massive sulfide ore bodies. This work is still in its early stages, more extensive information will be published one after another. Geochemical exploration of volcanogenic massive sulphide deposits involves the analysis of many samples of marl-bearing volcanic rocks. The conclusion from this work is that the sign of volcanogenic massive sulphide deposits is altered halo. Among them Na, Ca and in some cases potassium depletion, Mg, Fe, Si and K enrichment.
