西藏拉萨布达拉宫,位于西藏自治区首府拉萨市区的红山之上,是一座当今世界海拔最高、规模最大的宫殿式古建筑群。它由红山南麓奠基,依山而上,直达山顶,主楼13层,高113米,建筑面积12万平方米。其建筑风格,融宫堡和寺院于一体,是中国最著名的古代建筑之一,堪称艺术的殿堂,被誉为“世界屋脊的明珠”。1994年,布达拉宫被联合国教科文组织列入《世界文化遗产名录》。
The Potala Palace in Lhasa, Tibet, is located on the Red Mountain in the downtown area of Lhasa, the capital of the Tibet Autonomous Region. It is a palace-style ancient complex with the highest elevation and the largest scale in the world today. It is founded by the southern foot of the Red Hill, hillside, up to the Peak, 13 floors of the main building, 113 meters high, construction area of 120,000 square meters. Its architectural style, Rong Gong Bao and monasteries in one, is China’s most famous ancient architecture, called the palace of the arts, known as “the roof of the Pearl of the world ”. In 1994, Potala Palace was listed by UNESCO as “World Heritage Site.”
