Obviously, the developing folds have a barrier effect on the distribution of sediments, allowing small lakes or ponds to form in the developing beveled depressions. The consistent relationship between favorable mudstone and uranium-bearing sandstone suggests that the exploration strategy should be to first find a favorable mudstone layer and then to search for the mineralization that is closely related to it.
