阜南实验中学为阜阳市示范中学,成立于1999年,经原安徽省教委批准,由原阜南师范学校改制创建。学校位于县城中心,淮河路与曹集路交汇处,占地约3.5万平方米。随着国家改革开放的深入和对教育的重视,十余年来学校发展迅速,校园经过重新规划布局、调整拆迁,相继新建了实验楼、图书楼、行政综合楼及适应全县教师培训需要的师训综合楼各一栋,教学楼建筑面积约3.2万平方米。
