在中西方的文学作品和神话传说中都有无数令人叫绝的爱情故事。但无论是西方,还是中国,在普遍群众观念中,爱情的最美、最佳结局就是步入婚姻的殿堂。与此同时,在美轮美奂的爱情画卷背后,婚姻便成了爱情的一种固有的、不可抗拒的现实束缚。往往是当爱情遇到婚姻,面对婚姻之后的生活时,那些曾经的海誓山盟将变得无能无力。生活之中的斑斑迹象,种种现实,都可以使爱情走向衰落,甚至步入崩溃的边缘。神话传说更多的是人类美好的幻想与憧憬,那些男女主人公们的爱情之所以轰轰烈烈,只是因为他们为了爱,甘愿彼此以死相随。这就是为什么被广为流传的、最为大家所认可的爱情故事,很多都是以悲剧形式结尾的原因。因为,海誓山盟的爱情,是广大群众都在感情理想中所追求的,但是现实社会中的爱情,却与理想有着太遥远的距离。所以,这些凄美的爱情故事终将成为大家的感情寄托而千古传唱,同时这种爱情的悲剧结局也就成为一种必然。
