The study on the spatial and temporal distribution of the seismic activity in North China (34 ° -42 ° N, 108 ° -124 ° E) shows that the main seismic activities occur in different regions at different periods, and the overall transfer with time and space is obvious. The former fault zone is one of the most important structural zones in this area, which not only controls the seismic activity at both ends but also controls the seismic activity in the east and west regions bounded by it.It also points out that since the 19th century, Earthquakes in North China are mainly in the east but not in the west. The pattern of seismic activity has undergone significant changes. As a key monitoring area for earthquake prediction, it is important to consider the currently active areas, which are important for long-term earthquake prediction.
