湛江,位于我国雷州半岛南端。一条深入陆地的长条形海湾,把湛江分割成两部分,西岸是霞山、赤坎老市区,东岸是改革开放以后建设起来的新市区。南海西部石油公司和南海舰队生活基地就建设在这里。湛江背靠大陆,西临北部湾,东濒南海,南隔18海里与海南岛相望。港湾密布,水深浪静,海岸线长达1500多公里,是我国八大港口之一,万吨级客货轮可以自由来往,与世界五大洲80多个国家和地区通航。
Zhanjiang, located in the southern tip of Leizhou Peninsula in China. A strip of land deep in the Gulf, the Zhanjiang divided into two parts, the West Bank is Xiashan, Chikan old urban areas, the east coast is a new urban area after the reform and opening up. South China Sea Western Oil Company and the South China Sea Fleet living base built here. Zhanjiang back to the mainland, west of the North Bay, east of the South China Sea, Hainan Island across the sea for 18 sea miles. The densely populated harbor, calm waters and the coastline of more than 1,500 kilometers make it one of the eight major ports in our country. The 10,000-ton passenger and cargo ships are free to travel and navigate the world with more than 80 countries and regions on five continents.
