Community College is a unique career-oriented higher education institution in the United States. It is an important part of the American higher education system. Its earliest origins were the Junior College of Joliet held in 1901, which has been going through more than 100 years of development. Due to its low tuition fees, open enrollment, flexible course arrangement and convenient entrance, more than 10 million students are enrolled each year, playing an important role in the development of higher education and skilled personnel training in the United States. In recent years, especially since President Obama took power in 2009, in response to the challenge of the economic crisis, the U.S. government attaches great importance to the development of community colleges and explicitly proposes to reshape the middle class in the United States through community colleges.
