《成功之日》描述了三位女子不同的人生取向及遭遇,通过三人的不同处境表明:现代妇女虽然在政治上、法律上获得了一些表面平等的权利,但仍然受到各种传统习俗的束缚。在以父权文化为中心的现实社会中,女性其实受到事业上与家庭上的双重压力,处于困境。只有彻底摆脱父权文化与传统观念,男性与女性相互补充、相互扶持,人类才能得到全面的发展。
