Tourism is thriving this century and is expected to become one of the largest in the world in the next century. Tourism has gradually brought about the environmental and social effects of good or bad, in some tourist hot spots.People consume water and electricity resources in a large amount to produce waste water and waste, which have a serious negative impact on the ecological environment, social and cultural development. In 1994, the World Tourism Organization (WTTC) developed a Green Globe Standard based on the requirements of the Tourism Agenda No. 21 (Blueprint for Sustainable Development in the 21st Century). The main aim of this standard is to provide a green earth standard that will enable all travel companies to comply The effective and applicable method to improve the environment. The standard encourages tourism companies to reduce their adverse impact on the environment year by year. Through various activities, tourism ultimately contributes to the sustainable development of the global tourism industry. Many tourist hotels in the world adopt the Green Earth standard. Currently, this standard is under revision. The format of the current standard is similar to that of ISO 14001. The revised standard will omit the same terminology and purpose as ISO 14001 in order to more clearly describe the requirements of the standard. (Editorial Editor’s Digest)
