1992年10月16日,在北京的民族文化宫举行了一个“科学发现低温新能源新闻发布会议”,邀请各方面人士及记者参加。会上,“中国低温新能源开发研究制造中心（筹）”的主任向全世界公布了一个“喜讯”:“中国人科学发现以低温深冷冷量为能源,人类可以拥有任有（原文如此）尽有、廉价无害的能源。中国人完成了大规模、高效率、廉价开发低温差热能与自然常温热能作功发电的产业发明。”他指出:“历史将永远记住今天这个不寻常的日子,历史将记住今天在座的每位先生、女士的名字,你们是历史的见证者,你们今天的新闻稿将是人类文明进化史上的重要文献。”
