“古之欲明明德于天下者。先治其国;欲治其国者,先齐其家;欲齐其家者,先修其身;欲修其身者,先正其心;欲正其心者,先诚其意;欲诚其意者,先致其知,致知在格物。”北宋大儒张横渠有言:为天地立心,为生民立命,为往圣继绝学,为万世开太平。2006年夏,读樊树志的《国史概要》,有一段大意是,中国文人为什么瞧不起巫医算卜,以为奇淫技巧,不肯用心钻研,因为他们有更高的理想,修身齐家治国平天下!这大概是中国知识分子理想中最高的境界了。
