For Chen Bin, a professor of Chinese painting at Xi’an Academy of Fine Arts, playing is just an attitude; but behind playing hard is hard work and dedication to the cause. Since his association with Yixing purple clay pot artist Xu Jianping, Chen Bin has been involved in the comprehensive exploration of the concrete painting of Zisha pottery from the research on the creation of literati paintings. Since 2013, the 1.8-meter “Tianxin Yongle” teapot, which he and Xu Jianping completed in cooperation with the international Zen Tea Culture Festival on both sides of Wuyi, was well received by viewers. Later, he began to study the art of porcelain painting. His Zisha art painting and porcelain painting creation are similar to those of the Tai Chi. With the ancient capital of Xi’an as the base, Chen Bin organizes a variety of Zisha culture themed activities to make “pot of tea with the same reputation ” enjoys popular support, and intends to sublimate the art of earth through its own pen and ink art to a depth and breadth of beauty.
