在高校图书馆里,保存着大量的图书、报纸、期刊等图书资料。合理地保存、管理和使用这些宝贵的资料,将为高校师生员工的学习和研究提供丰富的资料来源。传统的纸张保存方法,不但占用的存放空间大,分类检索困难,而且图书资料长期存放还会出现纸张变质、损坏、丢失等问题,所以要保存好和管理好这些图书资料,工作量极大,需要大量的人力物力,现时代的发展势头是引进计算机,实现网络化,但相当一部分馆还没有这个力量,而且有些馆原来就有缩微设备,要充分发挥它的作用。为此我们需要把缩微技术这个现代图书情报技术之一的工作认
