P16INK4a基因是人们发现的第1个直接参与细胞周期调控的抑癌基因。P16IINK4a基因异常甲基化是宫颈癌发生过程中的早期事件,且随着病情发展甲基化率有增高的趋势。P16INK4a异常甲基化可作为一种新的肿瘤分子标记物用于宫颈癌的临床筛查及诊断中。
P16INK4a gene is one of the first tumor suppressor genes that is directly involved in cell cycle regulation. Abnormal methylation of P16IINK4a gene is an early event in the development of cervical cancer, and its methylation rate tends to increase with the progression of the disease. P16INK4a abnormal methylation can be used as a new tumor molecular marker for clinical screening and diagnosis of cervical cancer.
