Japanese press can be described as developed. The findings of a survey of 115 newspapers that joined the Japan Press Association last year showed. The total number of circulations in newspapers was more than 47 million, with an average of 563 for every 1,000 people and about 1.26 for each household. In order to further expand circulation, at present several major newspapers have to “expand” to foreign markets. The Yomiuri Shimbun, which has the largest circulation, strives to improve its quality on the one hand to attract more domestic readers while on the other, it begins to attach importance to seeking foreign markets. In the past, the paper was airlifted to the print shops in Los Angeles and New York by the United States. In order to improve the timeliness, the paper was changed to
