Colon cancer is a common malignancy in the gastrointestinal tract. The disease is often complicated by acute intestinal obstruction. We have conducted a clinical analysis of the diagnosis and treatment of 21 cases of colon cancer complicated with acute intestinal obstruction from November 1985 to February 1999. . 1 Materials and Methods 1.1 General Information: 21 patients in this group, including 12 males and 9 females; the age of onset was 35 to 74 years old.
