2月的欧洲仍旧春寒料峭,但科隆这座美丽的小城早已挤满了各处赶来的人,身着奇装异服,加入狂欢节的队列。眼前的一切,使德国与“严谨”、“稳重”再无关联,就连科隆大教堂也不得不微笑着俯瞰这一年一度的恣意欢谑。在荷兰交流学习的我,早在年前便做好了参加这次盛会的准备。这种渴望的强烈让仅两个小时的旅程变得格外漫长。不过从走下火车那一刻起,我便知道,一切的准备和等待都是值得的。
February is still a chilly spring in Europe, but Cologne, the beautiful town, is already crowded with people from all over, joining the carnival parade in fantastic costumes. Everything in sight made Germany irrelevant to the “rigorous” and “prudent” even Cologne Cathedral had to smile and overlook this year’s beggarly banquet. I studied in the Netherlands and I was well prepared to participate in the event as early as the year before. This longing has made the journey of only two hours extra long. However, from the moment I left the train, I knew that all preparation and waiting were worth it.
