为贯彻全国高等理科教育工作座谈会精神,把部分理科毕业生培养成具有良好科学素养的应用人才;理工(农、医)科院校坚持理工(农、医)结合的方向,培养既有较好的理论基础又有一定的工程(农林、医药)训练的应用性理科人才,落实国家教委提出的深化教育改革的方针。结合化学学科的特点,办好应用化学系(或应用化学专业),本刊将北京医科大学药学院王夔教授于去年给高等学校化学教育研究申心、<大学化学>编辑部的一封信介绍给化学界的同行。王先生对如何办好应用化学专业发表了独到见解,很有启发性,值得一读。近几年来不少学校在办好应用化学专业的教改实践中已积累了许多的新鲜经验,本列欢迎投稿,以共同研讨怎样更好地培养适应我国社会主义建设实际需要的人才,迎接21世纪新技术革命和国际竞争的挑战。
