中国共产党第十三届中央委员会第四次全体会议,1989年6月23日至24日在北京召开。审议通过李鹏代表政治局提出的关于赵紫阳所犯错误的报告;选举江泽民为中央委员会总书记;增选江泽民、宋平、李瑞环为政治局常委;增补李瑞环、丁关根为书记处书记。撤销赵紫阳的总书记、政治局常委、政治局委员、中央委员和军委第一副主席职务;免去胡启立的政治局常委、政治局委员、书记处书记职务;免去芮杏文、阎明复的书记处书记职务。全会之前,中央政治局举行了扩大会议,为四中全会的召开作了必要准备。
The Fourth Plenary Session of the Thirteenth Central Committee of the Communist Party of China was held in Beijing from June 23 to June 24, 1989. To consider and approve the report on the mistakes made by Zhao Ziyang made by Li Peng on behalf of the Political Bureau; to elect Jiang Zemin as the general secretary of the Central Committee; to elect Jiang Zemin, Song Ping and Li Ruihuan as their members; and to add Li Ruihuan and Ding Guangen as secretary clerks. Revocation of General Secretary Zhao Ziyang, Politburo Standing Committee, member of the Political Bureau, member of the Central Military Commission and first vice chairman; remove Hu Qili Politburo Standing Committee, Politburo member, secretary of the clerk; to remove Rui Xingwen, Yan Mingfu Secretariat Clerk duties. Before the plenary session, the Central Political Bureau held an enlarged meeting and made the necessary preparations for the convening of the Fourth Plenary Session.
