解放军医学图书馆现今是全国最大的医学图书馆,也是医学书刊馆藏最多的图书馆之一,在我国也是管理比较好的图书馆上一,现在主要问题是如何加速现代化管理使之能更好地为军内外医学界人士服务,为提高我国我军医学水平服务.现将我个人的看法简述如下.现代图书馆的任务不只是书刊丰富.保管好和借阅方便.她应能起以下作用:(1)与世界各国频繁交换最新医学信息,因此图书馆本身应不断地收集我国医学和军事医学新信息准备交换之用,这种信息不一定要以杂志形式,每期数页,用油印或电脑传播均可.按成本收费,必受欢迎,而且办得好,将来可成定期刊物,可请专家写稿,图书馆定期向读者供给信息即可.
