知识经济是一种知识资本型经济，是可持续发展经济，是世界各国历史发展的必然选择。然而中国面对知识经济准备不足，中国劳动力素质较低，不利于知识经济的发展，中国外延扩大再生产的方式排斥科学技术知识的传播和应用，西方发达国家在高科技方面的严格控制，不利于中国的技术引进。但近年来中国经济发展的良好态势为进入知识化经济社会打下了良好的基础，只要我们加强政府的宏观调控，重视人力资源的开发，加强科技创新，建立起国家创新机制，知识经济就可以在我国发展起来。
