《中国花卉盆景》2003年11期45页刊登了阎俊富先生的《马齿苋制作盆景》一文。据文中描述和所附照片,笔者觉得该植物似应属景天科的燕子掌(Crassulaportulacea),而不是马齿苋科的马齿苋(Portulacaoleracea)。前者笔者家中也有栽培。现就两者的生物学特性做一简要比较。燕子掌,为常绿小灌木,茎有节,圆柱状,灰绿色,分枝多,小枝褐色。单叶对生,叶扁平肉质,椭圆形、绿色,花粉红色。马齿苋为一年生肉质草本,茎下部匍匐、披散,上部斜升,带紫红色,叶互生或对生。我国马齿苋属中另有一种——大花马齿苋(Portulaca grandiflora)也为一年生肉质草本,单叶散生或互生,叶近圆柱形。据阎文中的照片,叶片对生、生活型属灌木,其余描述也与燕子掌的特性相同,因此应为燕子掌而非马齿苋。

According to the description in the text and accompanying photographs, the author believes that the plant should appear to belong to the genus Crassulacea (Crassula portulacea) rather than Portulaca oleracea Portulaca oleracea. The former author also cultivated at home. Now a brief comparison of the biological characteristics of the two. Swallow palm, small evergreen shrub, stems section, cylindrical, gray-green, branched, branchlets brown. Single leaf opposite, leaf flat fleshy, oval, green, pink flowers. Purslane is an annual fleshy herb, the lower part of the stem prostrate, loose, the upper ramp, with purple, leaves alternate or opposite. Another species in China, Portulaca grandiflora (Portulaca grandiflora) is also an annual fleshy herb, single leaf loose or alternate, nearly cylindrical leaves. According to Yan Wenzhong photos, the leaves of living, life-type shrubs, and the rest of the description and the characteristics of the same Swallows palm, it should be the swallow palm rather than purslane.
