胡适是安徽省绩溪县上庄村人。他对于上庄家乡那些特别的徽州民俗,象“五朋太子会神会”、“大王会”、“小王会”等等,总是感到特别亲切。其中有他童年的亲身经历,也有他对徽州民俗的体味,胡适常说:“太子会是我们家乡秋天最热闹的神会”。“太子会”是皖南很普遍的神会。据说太子神是唐朝安史之乱时保障江淮的张巡、许远。因张巡曾任太子通事舍人,后世误以唐室曾赠张巡为通真三太子,故而在绩溪,有关张巡的祭祀活动又称“太子会”。“太子会”很有演变,对于上庄、宅坦、余村、瑞川、择里5村来说
