分析了当代世界通信的社会需求和通信技术发展的基本趋势，论述了富有我国特色的通信高技术发展目标──宽带化、智能化和个人化综合业务数字网（ＢＩＰ－ＩＳＤＮ），指出了这一目标的重要意义和实现这一目标的可能性。
This paper analyzes the social needs of contemporary world communication and the basic trend of development of communication technology. It discusses the goal of high-tech development of communication with rich characteristics of our country ─ Broadband, Intelligent and Personalized Integrated Services Digital Network (BIP-ISDN) The significance of a goal and the possibility of achieving it.
